Routing

Patching audio and MIDI between blocks.

Routing mode

  • Hold a block's output control to enter routing mode from it.
    • The toolbar shows Routing: <source>.
    • Every place it can go lights up; tap one to connect, tap again to disconnect.
    • Cables show what's connected.
  • Leave by tapping the pill, the source again, empty space, or Esc.
  • Or drag a cable from the output control straight to a destination.

Outputs and inputs

  • A block's routing panel lists its outputs — the main one, a multi-out plugin's further outs, and any MIDI it emits — each routable on its own.
  • Turn it round to see what arrives at the block instead.

What goes where

  • Audio: block → block, master, a plugin's sidechain, a send slot.
  • MIDI: MIDI block or plugin → instrument, MIDI block, hardware output.
