Sidechain Inputs

What keys a plugin's second input.

  • Plugins with a sidechain or aux input show it as a small input on the plugin.
  • Tap it to see what feeds it:
    • every block on the canvas, in order, with + to route it in;
    • a routed source shows a lit ✓ in its place — tap it to take it out.
    • A multi-output plugin (a drum machine's separate outs) has a ▸ — tap to show its outputs, each routable on its own.
  • What's heard at the sidechain keys the plugin and isn't heard itself — a compressor ducking to a kick.
  • Blocks this plugin feeds are greyed out: keying from them would be a feedback loop.
  • Or hold the source's output control and tap the input, as in Routing.
